Participants in the VHI program are charged a participation fee that covers basic administrative costs associated with each program for physicians, the fee is $600 per trip; for all others the fee is $200 per trip. In addition to the participation fee, each VHI team member must pay for their roundtrip airfare to the host country, as well as lodging upon arrival and prior to departure.  Vision Health provides lodging and meals in the work area, and local transportation in-country.
