• Donate Eyeglasses
  Since 1985, VHI volunteers have dispensed over 15,000 pairs of eyeglasses. The eyeglass distribution program is a crucial component of our work in Latin America. For thousands in Latin America poor vision—even something as common as the need for reading glasses—often goes untreated.
  
  Imagine the joy of being able to read again, to sew again, or to be able to once again fix a piece of equipment important to your family’s livelihood. One pair of eyeglasses—a pair that may be no longer needed in the U.S.—can literally restore focus and meaning to another person’s life.
  
  VHI also distributes sunglasses! Protection from the sun and dust is important to proper vision health care. Like eyeglasses, sunglasses are often unavailable to the majority of people in Latin America.
  
  Contact us at info@visionhealth.org for an Eyeglass Drive Kit. The kit includes a container for mailing, VHI display materials, and instructions on how to set up your eyeglass drive. Mailing labels will direct your eyeglass/sunglass donations to our partner, Telephone Pioneers, in Houston, Texas. The glasses you send to Telephone Pioneers are specifically earmarked for use in VHI’s field programs in Latin America.
